Yesterday i played in my first softball game! I can't decide which feeling was more overpowering, total scaredness or that it was awesome! I got on base and scored and got totally confused and yelled a lot (plus inhaling a bunch of dust), but it was all fun. Notes for next time: bring water, wear sunscreen, learn some softball lingo so i sound like i know what i'm doing ;-)
I tossed around a ball and practiced batting a bit on Saturday with Bobby. He told me i was doing pretty good (and he doesn't sugar coat, so it must be true, ha ha)! I felt like i was ten feet tall when i actually caught most of the balls and after my complement! I hadn't tossed a ball around since elementary school and it felt good to be out in the sunshine moving around. :-)
