baby shower gift

went to the cutest baby shower the other weekend! the invitations all went out with a plain cloth square for everyone to stitch something on and bring to the baby shower. then they would all be used in a baby blanket for the new baby. it was great to see what everyone did! there were so many squares i think this kid is gonna have a queen sized baby blanket :D here is the square i did for my friend's cute (he hasn't made his appearance yet but i am confident he'll be cute) baby...


i had so much fun making it and, yes, i am a little bit proud of myself :)

Christmas in April?!

Yes. That's right. It snowed 6 inches. Here. Just the other day. And it's April!! So in an effort to not be totally crushed by all the green thing being covered in icy white-ness, i thought i'd try embracing the "season" and put up some happy thoughts from this last Christmas (when snow was appropriate and had songs to fit the mood, cause who ever heard of "i'm dreaming of a white april"?). A friend of mine asked me to take some pics of her so cute kids for her Christmas cards. It was totally fun! And in less than 20 minutes we had lots of cute shots to choose from (and i think they even had fun too).

I want babies with lips like these! Not like thats coming anytime soon but it must be said when you see a cute kids like this!
